Harrison would never admit to liking Cisco, he wouldn't even admit to tolerating him. In fact, he often went out of his way to prove he felt otherwise, with yelling, scolding, scowling, and anything he could think of. But no matter how much he insulted or criticized, there was no denying that Cisco was intelligent. While Barry had spurts of what he'd called "ten year old's determination", Cisco embodied it completely. A bring mind and such drive all wrapped up in someone he wanted so very badly to dislike. And yet...he didn't.
The last thing Harrison wanted was to be up late, alone, with Cisco in the lab. This was often his own time to tinker and puzzle over equations with no one else around. At last some quiet where he could do all that was necessary to avoid the shadows that threatened to devour his every thought. He didn't really want to know why Cisco was there, perhaps similar reasons. Meeting one's doppelganger was never a pleasant experience, even so long after the event.
Whatever the reason, they'd ended up tinkering together on Reverb's glasses. If for no other reason than to keep busy when they didn't want to think of other things.
"Give me that," Harrison snapped, grabbing the small screw driver from Cisco's hand. "You're going to break it if you keep that up."
Sometimes, when sleep is harder than it should be, Cisco stays at home and watches dumb movies until he passes out on the couch, only to wake up far too early because wow is his living room ever a thousand times brighter than his bedroom. Sometimes, he makes his way back to the lab to tinker on ongoing projects or poke at blueprints or mess with his Barry's suit.
Tonight was the latter. And Harry seemed less than impressed at the company, but he was dealing with it anyway.
"Hey!" Cisco's protest seems louder than usual in the otherwise silent lab. "I think I know how to use a screwdriver, Harry." He huffs and slumps back in his chair, glaring halfheartedly at the older man. He was so annoying sometimes.
